Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology
      http://bqem.knrrc.or.kr
    • A bank for quantum electron materials was established for promoting collaborative research and providing related researchers with the samples of single crystals, If possible, and synthesized by various materials. The materials, referred to as Strongly Correlated Electron Systems, are necessary to study the properties of superconductivity, heavy fermion behavior, quantum critical points, and topological insulator. Basics data are obtained by determining the basic properties of the materials, i.e., electric conductivity, magnetic properties, hall, and heat capacity at temperature ranging from 2K to 400K.
    • Bank of Modified Nucleic Acid Systems
    • 2005 ~ Now
      POSTECH
      http://bmnas.knrrc.or.kr
    • Nowadays, nucleic acids are involved in various research areas such as DNA computing, nano-size structure using DNA, a sensor recognizing for specific sequences of mRNA, and oligonucleotide therapeutics, etc. Any part of nucleic acid, nucleoside and oligonucleotide can be modified to have functional activities. The modified nucleosides such as cell membrane permeable siRNA and fluorescent oligonucleotides are used as SNP probes or mRNA sensors. Bank of Modified Nucleic Acid Systems synthesizes and distributes modified nucleic acids to researchers aiming at promotion and collaboration of researches on nucleic acids.
    • Crystal Bank
    • 1998 ~ Now
      Pusan National University
      http://cb.knrrc.or.kr
    • Single crystal is a solid that whole atoms form a periodic array. Crystal Bank supplies single crystal samples as well as crystal substrates for thin films to researchers and offers information about the materials such as compositional analysis data and surface study results. Providing the crystallographic data and samples with cutting and polishing service enables researchers to save time. Also, Crystal Bank provides services of structural analysis using XRD, SEM, AFM, TEM and compositional analysis using CIP, AES, XPS, DSC, TG. Some physical measurements such as dielectric constant measurements, magnetic and optical measurements are also provided.
    • Noncentrosymmetric Materials Bank
    • 2014 ~ Now
      Chung-Ang University
      http://ncsmb.knrrc.or.kr
    • The bank develops a variety of noncentrosymmetric (NCS) bulk and film materials that are exhibiting nonlinear optical, piezoelectric, pyroelectric, and ferroelectric properties. The secured customized NCS materials are systematically categorized, stored, and provided to domestic and international researchers.
    • Phosphor Bank
    • 2012 ~ Now
      Pukyong National University
      http://pb.knrrc.or.kr
    • Phosphor bank supplies the organic and inorganic phosphors for WLED and OLED to the researchers with interests in the field of phosphors and their applications.
    • Porous Nanoparticle Bank
    • 2014 ~ Now
      Sungkyunkwan University
      http://pnb.knrrc.or.kr
    • The Bank has porous particles such as silica, alumina, titania, magnetic porous particles, multifunctional porous particles such as gold nanoparticles and gold porous nanocomposites, and distributes them to related researchers.
    • Bank for Polymer Pro-drug Precursor
    • 2010 ~ 2015
      Kyung Hee University
      http://bppp.knrrc.or.kr
    • Development of new drugs and research on drug-delivery system (DDS) is a ¡®hot issue¡¯ worldwide. To increase water-solubility of most protein drugs, polyethylene glycolylation (PEGlyation) is used. The medical grade PEG is very expensive and the pure PEG is imported entirely. The goal of Bank of Polymer Pro-drug Precursors is to provide materials for making protein drugs and to develop new polymeric materials for solubilization and utilization as the matrices in the DDS.
    • Bank of Color Tunable Microparticles
    • 2010 ~ 2015
      Seoul National University
      http://bctm.knrrc.or.kr
    • Bank of Color Tunable Microparticles (BCTM) develops a technology which enables to produce magnetically color tunable microparticles targeting next generation display industry. Color tunable mircoparticle is comprised of color reflective nanoparticle structure and surrounding polymer microcapsules. First, superparamagnetic nanoparticle can reflect the light of specific wavelength and the color can be changed by varying the external magnetic-field intensity. In order to keep the color tunable nanoparticles stable from environmental disturbances and to actuate them as a micro-scale unit, capsulation of nanoparticle with polymer is required. The purpose of BCTM is to achieve long-term stability of the material and mass production to provide such material for researches and practical applications.
    • Peptide Library Support Facility
    • 1995 ~ 2010
