  • 항생제내성균주은행 (은행장 서울여자대학교 신은주 교수)
  • 탄지니아 세렁게티 지역에서 서식하는 버팔로에서 정상 장내세균의 일종인 Enterococcus를 분리·동정한 후 항생제내성을 측정해 291 strain을 확보, 분양중이다. 이 중 19균주의 Enterococcus faecalis에 대한 Multi-locus sequence type을 분석한 결과, 14균주가 새로운 MLST 이었다. 야생동물과 사람에서 분리한 세균의 비교 연구에 본 소재가 사용되기를 기대한다.

  • 비중심대칭소재은행은 2015년 상반기에 비중심대칭 유기물인 Diisopropylammonium bromide 외 비선형광학 특성, 발광 및 압전 특성 검사 등에 활용 가능한 11개의 신규 소재를 확보했다. 이 중 비중심대칭 층상 페로브스카이트 화합물 CsBi1-xEuxNb2O7(x=0, 0.1, and 0.2) 고체 용액을 합성하고 비대칭환경을 지니는 Bi에 Eu을 도핑해서 비선형광학 특성이 어떻게 변하는지 관찰하고 발광현상을 보고했다.

  • 병원성바이러스은행(은행장 고려대학교 송기준 교수)은 (주)씨젠 생명과학연구소가 미국에서 수입한 바이러스 47종의 배양을 의뢰받아 바이러스 소재 총 315 바이알을 연구용으로 제공했다.
  
  
  • - 항생제내성균주은행, 균주 분양 및 실험서비스 제공
  • 항생제내성균주은행(은행장 서울여자대학교 신은주 교수)은 2004년부터 동화약품에서 개발 중인 시료의 항균활성도를 측정하고 결과를 제공해 왔다. 이후 여러 개발 단계를 거쳐 퀴놀론계 항균제인 ‘자보란테’가 2015년 3월 국산 신약 23호로 허가를 받아 올 하반기 시판을 앞두고 있다. 이 신약은 만성폐쇄성 폐질환의 세균성 급성악화(ABE-COPD) 치료에 탁월한 효과를 나타내어 글로벌 시장 진출도 기대하고 있다.
    ㈜백광산업에는 미생물을 이용한 제품 생산 균주에 대한 국제적인 검증자료 제출에 도움을 주었다. 또한 ㈜잡스에서 개발한 살균제의 살균효력시험에 필요한 균주와 실험서비스를 제공했다.
  • - 「연구소재은행의 산업화 지원」 인터뷰 영상 제작
  • 연구소재은행은 소재분양 및 실험 서비스, 효능성 검사 제공 등을 통해 산업체를 지원하고 있다. (재)연구소재중앙센터는 그동안 연구소재지원사업의 산업체 지원성과를 알리기 위해 2015년 5월 소재은행의 도움을 받아 제품화, 기술 이전 등의 성과를 창출한 기업 12곳을 방문해 인터뷰 영상을 제작했다.
    대표적인 사례로, 기업들은 항생제 내성균주를 분양받아 슈퍼박테리아를 죽이는 신개발 항생제의 효능 테스트를 하고, 살균기의 성능검사를 의뢰해 제품 수출에 활용하기도 한다. 국내에서 구하기 힘든 고위험군 바이러스 혈청소재를 분양받아 체외진단 제품의 성능평가 및 안전성·유효성 평가에 사용해서 국내허가를 받은 경우와 외국에서 소재를 구입할 때와 비교해 비용을 75% 절감한 사례도 있었다. 기업 관계자들은 “개인 연구자들이 구하거나 보존할 수 없는 소재들을 연구소재은행을 통하면 쉽게 분양받을 수 있어 편리했고, 제품의 해외시장 진출에 필요한 성능검사도 지원받을 수 있었다.”며, 앞으로도 계속 소재은행을 이용할 계획이고 연구소재지원사업이 더욱 활성화 되어야한다고 입을 모았다.
    중앙센터는 제작한 인터뷰 영상을 5월 27일(수) 국회의원회관에서 개최한 ‘제9회 국회 연구소재은행 국제심포지엄 및 전시회’에서 상영했다. 해당 기업들은 전시부스를 운영하며 개발된 제품 실물을 전시해 국회의원 및 정부 관계자, 연구자들에게 홍보했다.
